update: April Chapter meeting and Call for Nominations

We had a wonderful meeting last Thursday  at Belmont Village on Holcombe.  Mona Patel  presented  Transitional Care Management for CE. 

As promised , we began our super great  competition for $500 towards the fall national conference registration. We announced that we were providing  one board member and several  members funds to use towards the registration.    Well we had 3 board members attend and  6 members attend the meeting.  Anyone who attends both the April and June meetings will be in the running to compete for the funds.   What a wonderful opportunity to attend the national conference, virtually or in person and  receive $500 to go towards the meeting.  

If you did not get to participate this year, maybe next year if you come to our meetings.  we will probably make it a little more difficult to win, as in attend  a larger number of chapter meetings.  

Our next meeting will be in June   topic and location to be announced.  If you have any topic ideas that would draw you in to be more active with our chapter   please send the topics to me, Maureen.Beck@uth.tmc.edu or to Tammie our President Elect  tgmichae@utmb.edu

Also we are calling for nominations for President Elect and for the position of  historian.
